Naturally Balanced was established in 2014. This practice, however, first opened it's doors over 20 years ago as a Chiropractic and Massage Therapy clinic. We have since expanded to offer Naturopathic Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Contemporary Medical Acupuncture. Naturally Balanced is owned by Chiropractor Dr Melissa Reinke, who has been a practitioner at this location since 2011.

Naturally Balanced is a safe space. We welcome and value diversity in religion, race, gender, sexual orientation and ability.

Team Bio's

Dr. Melissa Reinke

I graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2011 and have been privileged to serve this community ever since. I was born and raised in rural Alberta and now happily call Calgary home. My husband and I welcomed our daughters in 2018, and 2021 and I greatly enjoy the challenge of balancing life as a wife, mom and business owner.

I absolutely love what I do and I especially love sharing my knowledge with others. I strongly believe that if my patients understand what is causing their pain and how certain movements will make it worse or better, then they will be empowered to help themselves heal and prevent re-injury.

In my free time I love spending time outdoors- camping, hiking, skiing, and fishing. I'm also an avid reader and love nothing more than sitting outside with a good book. I enjoy lifting weights, and doing resistance training and am constantly expanding my knowledge in rehabilitation to better my own functional training, as well as to provide my patients with a more comprehensive treatment approach.

Dr. Candice Staniek

I graduated from Bastyr University in Washington state and practice as a Licensed Naturopathic Doctor. This is actually my second career- my first being an internal auditor in Calgary's oil and gas industry. I've found that being an entrepreneur and a Naturopath has been a perfect combination. When I work with my patients, I typically incorporate a variety of tools such as: herbs, nutrition, counselling, physical medicine, neural therapy and frequency specific microcurrent. I believe in the healing power of the body (The Vis), and my job is to provide the right tools in order to facilitate the healing process and to empower my patients to be their best selves. In my free time you'll find me out in nature, reading, snuggling with one of my cats, spending time with my partner, or meditating.

Nicole Lewis

Hi! My name is Nicole and I am a new graduate from Mount Royal University. I chose massage therapy as a profession because I wanted to help people feel, move and perform better. It wasn't until I started my schooling that I came to realize how huge of an impact massage therapy has on someone's overall mental health and physical wellbeing. It is because of this that I pride myself on ensuring that ALL of my treatments, even relaxation massage, have a therapeutic component included.

I currently specialize in therapeutic and deep tissue massage, as well as Swedish massage. I look forward to expanding my knowledge in the near future, and offering a wide variety of treatment techniques.

Michelle Van Dyk

I graduated with honours from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in Calgary, AB. As a former competitive dancer, I'm all too familiar with injuries and how effective massage therapy can be in the recovery process. After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance, with a concentration in choreography and performance, I found my interest in the human body and how it functions and moves.

I'm skilled in a variety of techniques including therapeutic, deep tissue, trigger point release, joint mobilization, myofascial stretching and relaxation massage bringing passion and expertise to every treatment. My goal is to identify underlying patterns such as muscle imbalances, postural and movement dysfunctions that lead to pain-tension cycles and subsequently create an individualized treatment plan to address clients’ concerns. I like to educate my clients in customized self-care, empowering them to be active participants in their healing process and continued recovery. Influenced by my years of training and passion for exercise, I believe that movement is often the right medicine for combating aches and pains.

In my spare time you can find me in the mountains hiking, backpacking, paddle boarding, snowboarding, and camping and spending time with my partner and dog.
